Host my GoDaddy website through my Smugmug account?

I have been a %26quot;PowerUser%26quot; on Smugmug for several years. I am wondering if I can use my account to host the images for my personal website, which is domain-registered through GoDaddy.com.

If not, what are your recommendations for free/cheap site hosting? I am quite experienced with web site coding, so I don%26#039;t necessarily need %26quot;easy%26quot; building tools. Thanks!

For free try freehostia, else you can buy web hosting from websites like http://aplis.net/

Use 1%26amp;1. If you don%26#039;t want to spend $4/month for hosting, you can buy a domain name for $6/year from 1%26amp;1:

http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/MsHosti...

You get a 5 page website, your own email address, etc.

Or do it for free at pages.google.com

If you want to build it yourself - without being online - download Nvu: http://nvudev.com/download.php

Can a forum be made on Microsoft Frontpage or Adobe GoLive?

Also is there a cheap or free way of putting a website on the internet with its own domain name.

Can a forum be made on Microsoft Frontpage or Adobe GoLive?

I don%26#039;t believe so. I%26#039;ve never seen one made using go live. You can make forum skins using golive and photoshop, but it doesn%26#039;t have the backend database. There is free forum software one of the most polopular is phpBB. If you want a domain you have pay for it. I recommand bluehost they have free forum software, free blogger software, free chat applications and up to 250 e-mail addresses for your domain at a rellay cheap price. Plus you can have up to 6 websites or domains on one account.

Good Luck

Can a forum be made on Microsoft Frontpage or Adobe GoLive?

I would use powweb for this, they offer 1 step forum building mysql database driven. Its very easy to use and you could have it up in hours. I wouldnt recommend doing this with frontpage or golive.

I need to find adult web site hosting with these features:?

I have an adult domain name that I own, I bought it recently from ipower.com. The reason I didn%26#039;t go with them for hosting is I wanted a host that didn%26#039;t charge a setup fee when I pay a few months at a time.

I%26#039;d like to keep the domain with them if I can, and just have the traffic forwarded to where the site is hosted

The hosting I%26#039;m looking for has to offer each of these:

I want cheap hosting, about $10 to $15 USD a month.

Montly payments, or 2 payments at a time

file manager access where I can copy and paste htmlcode straight into a file

ftp access where I can upload photos

24 hour support tech support by phone

The hosting I need has to have all of the above. Does anyone know a company that offers all this?

Other Replys:have u tried google webpage ( http://pages.google.com/ )

i use it and it is amazing. it has easy to use templates which are very user friendly and u can add calenders and all that good stuff to it. no prior web design exp. required. and when you decide to buy a domain name, just redirect it to ur google website, and u r good to go.

Other Replys:Before venturing into signing on to any host provider, did you consider utilizing your Internet provider%26#039;s hosting services via the %26quot;homepage%26quot; supplement. Please read the following discussion which may be a less expensive alternative to spending lots of money for an outside hosting service.

Begin with setting up your own webpage as your current internet provider will provide free hosting as discussed below.

If you are currently a paid Internet subscriber, you are entitled to a %26quot;homepage%26quot; which often contains simple navigation and editing tools. And if you use the Netscape browser, the built-in Composer feature is a superior HTML authoring tool which is totally free. You can easily generate a full-blown website as a Homepage.

Nevertheless, the %26quot;homepage%26quot; URL is likely to be %26quot;http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscribe... name%26quot; and that URL can easily be overwritten via a redirection service, i.e., %26quot;mydomain.com%26quot; which allows you to link any registered domain name to %26quot;mask%26quot; another website. For example, should you type in the %26quot;domain name,%26quot; you will be immediately transported to the homepage and the hompage URL of http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscriber... a homepage URL which will be masked by the domain name. And the charge for the redirection service [even at godaddy.com] is normally FREE.

When you acquire a domain name, connect it using a redirection service [as discussed above] and submit/publish the domain name on major search engines/directories in order for Net surfers to find your website.

Good luck!

Other Replys:You really get what you pay for here. And you%26#039;re asking for a lot of which no free web host will give you. At best, you can get a free web host account with plenty of other people%26#039;s advertisements on them and limited space and no use of PHP or a limitation on what scripts and programs you can install, hard drive space and bandwidth.

Today web hosting is quite affordable. You can get web hosting for less then $5.00 a month! I have a number of friends who got web hosting %26quot;reseller accounts%26quot; that allows you to put as many other domains under your account and giving each person their own web hosting account. Just do a search for %26quot;web hosting reseller accounts.%26quot;

A reseller account is really just a regular web hosting account, and cost less then $12.00 a month. You then can invite your friends and others to buy their web hosting account from you. With the click of a button you can instantly create numerous other web hosting accounts.

What%26#039;s nice is many of these web hosting accounts have lots of the latest software you%26#039;re looking to install. I have a number of servers and web hosting accounts myself and we have a program called Fantastico that allows you to select from dozens of the coolest programs to put on your website and all you have to do is click and it automatically installs the program for you.

Good Luck!

Making site for Google Adsense?

I want to start using Google Adsense. I need to make a site first obviously. What domain or host do you suggest using for making a site (that is fairely cheap, but trustworthy)?

It has to be a website such as %26quot;www.example.com%26quot;, not %26quot;www.freewebs.com/example...

Thanks

Making site for Google Adsense?

It really doesn%26#039;t matter what domain name you have or who your site%26#039;s hosted with. What does matter is what information your site contains. To make any money at all from Google Adsense you need thousands of visitors a week in the hope that some may click on the ads. From what I read in your question, it sounds like you are starting a site to make money through ad clicks. Forget it, and forget it fast. Your site name should reflect the material in your site. Would you seriously call yourself realestate.com if you%26#039;re selling cars? To make Adsense work, you need a site that generates a massive amount of attention and traffic. For example, a music site promoting a fictitious but famous group %26quot;The Rainmen%26quot; make make a few Adsense dollars if Google displayed ads for their CD%26#039;s, DVD%26#039;s and concert tours. However, Google might also put up ads for umbrellas and raincoats and you will end up making nothing. It%26#039;s a hard world out there to be sure.

Making site for Google Adsense?

Use Godaddy.com to buy your domain name but do not host it there.

I would recommend either one of the following hosting companies:

Hostgator, Bluehost or midPhase.

Have a read of my website below for more information.
