My boyfriend is trying to put together a website for a business idea. He has started a page but is having trouble with the intricacies of it. Is there a service that will assist him rather than do it for him? Or are there any cost efficient services for web design anyone can suggest??

If he dosent know much about web programign id suggest a program like blue voda to make a website but if he does, he could find a web programing forum to ask questions tehre are lots out there.

Utilize the web as a resource, but that is just my opinion. It really depends what kind of assistance you are looking for. Some services provide specific areas of different coding languages, graphics, etc.... You need to be more specific on what you need.

What kind of site? I mean if it%26#039;s pretty basic then there a whole host of free options and some affordable software solutions.

Is the website e-commerce, database driven?

If so then he is better off asking who built the website of someone he already knows - word of mouth and personal recommendations are best.

If it%26#039;s fairly simple then he could go for a web-based solution like myspace (not very business like) or even yahoo has a really simple web hosting package for small business - links below.

If using a mac then can sign up to Dot Mac which again requires little web design knowledge.

For software the best I have found for windows is Netobjects Fusion - it is powerful and allows the user to create a fulll-on website in a couple of hours and handles all the CSS and scripting and database side of things - I have not find a decent cheap affordable solution for Mac - Dreamweaver is not for beginners.

Are linking the pages to other pages the problem? Graphics? Would love you help you out, however it is impossible to answer such a general question.
