MICROSOFT FRONTPAGE
Other Replys:Microsoft Frontpage!
Other Replys:Well, I was a complete novice but I would have to say Dreamweaver as it seems to allow me an aesthetically driven approach. I was using a mac but it%26#039;s cross platform. As a PC user there%26#039;s probably loads out there, but I think most designers use dreamweaver. You don%26#039;t have to learn loads of code but it helps to know the code anyway. I designed www.edinburghbuddhistcentre.org.uk with it for example.
Other Replys:Some prefer the nuts and bolts of hand-coding, with this style of authoring you become extremely intimate with the actual code that makes web pages tick. Most hand-coders prefer Homesite or Notepad.
Some prefer assembling components and letting the software handle the nuts and bolts of the code. Macromedia Dreamweaver is probably the most widely used WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) software for designing web pages.
Although recently many authors have taken to designing entirely in Macromedia Flash. Flash is installed in about 95% of web browsers and using Macromedia%26#039;s tools guarantees your design will work. This virtually eliminates cross-browser compatibility issues.
Personally, I prefer Homesite and writing the markup myself. It%26#039;s essential if writing custom scripts or creating PHP/MYSQL database driven sites. I%26#039;m pretty sure Macromedia still offers it.
Other Replys:nothing in particular, it all depends on you and whar u are comfortable with, fronpage, dreamweaver, or golive...but i use both the dreamweavers and frontpage...but i guess dreamweaver is well ahead.
Just play around with everything a stick to what you are comfortable with at the end of the day...
