Host my GoDaddy website through my Smugmug account?

I have been a %26quot;PowerUser%26quot; on Smugmug for several years. I am wondering if I can use my account to host the images for my personal website, which is domain-registered through GoDaddy.com.

If not, what are your recommendations for free/cheap site hosting? I am quite experienced with web site coding, so I don%26#039;t necessarily need %26quot;easy%26quot; building tools. Thanks!

For free try freehostia, else you can buy web hosting from websites like http://aplis.net/

Use 1%26amp;1. If you don%26#039;t want to spend $4/month for hosting, you can buy a domain name for $6/year from 1%26amp;1:

http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/MsHosti...

You get a 5 page website, your own email address, etc.

Or do it for free at pages.google.com

If you want to build it yourself - without being online - download Nvu: http://nvudev.com/download.php

Can a forum be made on Microsoft Frontpage or Adobe GoLive?

Also is there a cheap or free way of putting a website on the internet with its own domain name.

Can a forum be made on Microsoft Frontpage or Adobe GoLive?

I don%26#039;t believe so. I%26#039;ve never seen one made using go live. You can make forum skins using golive and photoshop, but it doesn%26#039;t have the backend database. There is free forum software one of the most polopular is phpBB. If you want a domain you have pay for it. I recommand bluehost they have free forum software, free blogger software, free chat applications and up to 250 e-mail addresses for your domain at a rellay cheap price. Plus you can have up to 6 websites or domains on one account.

Good Luck

Can a forum be made on Microsoft Frontpage or Adobe GoLive?

I would use powweb for this, they offer 1 step forum building mysql database driven. Its very easy to use and you could have it up in hours. I wouldnt recommend doing this with frontpage or golive.

I need to find adult web site hosting with these features:?

I have an adult domain name that I own, I bought it recently from ipower.com. The reason I didn%26#039;t go with them for hosting is I wanted a host that didn%26#039;t charge a setup fee when I pay a few months at a time.

I%26#039;d like to keep the domain with them if I can, and just have the traffic forwarded to where the site is hosted

The hosting I%26#039;m looking for has to offer each of these:

I want cheap hosting, about $10 to $15 USD a month.

Montly payments, or 2 payments at a time

file manager access where I can copy and paste htmlcode straight into a file

ftp access where I can upload photos

24 hour support tech support by phone

The hosting I need has to have all of the above. Does anyone know a company that offers all this?

i use it and it is amazing. it has easy to use templates which are very user friendly and u can add calenders and all that good stuff to it. no prior web design exp. required. and when you decide to buy a domain name, just redirect it to ur google website, and u r good to go.

Other Replys:Before venturing into signing on to any host provider, did you consider utilizing your Internet provider%26#039;s hosting services via the %26quot;homepage%26quot; supplement. Please read the following discussion which may be a less expensive alternative to spending lots of money for an outside hosting service.

Begin with setting up your own webpage as your current internet provider will provide free hosting as discussed below.

If you are currently a paid Internet subscriber, you are entitled to a %26quot;homepage%26quot; which often contains simple navigation and editing tools. And if you use the Netscape browser, the built-in Composer feature is a superior HTML authoring tool which is totally free. You can easily generate a full-blown website as a Homepage.

Nevertheless, the %26quot;homepage%26quot; URL is likely to be %26quot;http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscribe... name%26quot; and that URL can easily be overwritten via a redirection service, i.e., %26quot;mydomain.com%26quot; which allows you to link any registered domain name to %26quot;mask%26quot; another website. For example, should you type in the %26quot;domain name,%26quot; you will be immediately transported to the homepage and the hompage URL of http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscriber... a homepage URL which will be masked by the domain name. And the charge for the redirection service [even at godaddy.com] is normally FREE.

When you acquire a domain name, connect it using a redirection service [as discussed above] and submit/publish the domain name on major search engines/directories in order for Net surfers to find your website.

Good luck!

Other Replys:You really get what you pay for here. And you%26#039;re asking for a lot of which no free web host will give you. At best, you can get a free web host account with plenty of other people%26#039;s advertisements on them and limited space and no use of PHP or a limitation on what scripts and programs you can install, hard drive space and bandwidth.

Today web hosting is quite affordable. You can get web hosting for less then $5.00 a month! I have a number of friends who got web hosting %26quot;reseller accounts%26quot; that allows you to put as many other domains under your account and giving each person their own web hosting account. Just do a search for %26quot;web hosting reseller accounts.%26quot;

A reseller account is really just a regular web hosting account, and cost less then $12.00 a month. You then can invite your friends and others to buy their web hosting account from you. With the click of a button you can instantly create numerous other web hosting accounts.

What%26#039;s nice is many of these web hosting accounts have lots of the latest software you%26#039;re looking to install. I have a number of servers and web hosting accounts myself and we have a program called Fantastico that allows you to select from dozens of the coolest programs to put on your website and all you have to do is click and it automatically installs the program for you.

Good Luck!

Making site for Google Adsense?

I want to start using Google Adsense. I need to make a site first obviously. What domain or host do you suggest using for making a site (that is fairely cheap, but trustworthy)?

It has to be a website such as %26quot;www.example.com%26quot;, not %26quot;www.freewebs.com/example...

Thanks

Making site for Google Adsense?

It really doesn%26#039;t matter what domain name you have or who your site%26#039;s hosted with. What does matter is what information your site contains. To make any money at all from Google Adsense you need thousands of visitors a week in the hope that some may click on the ads. From what I read in your question, it sounds like you are starting a site to make money through ad clicks. Forget it, and forget it fast. Your site name should reflect the material in your site. Would you seriously call yourself realestate.com if you%26#039;re selling cars? To make Adsense work, you need a site that generates a massive amount of attention and traffic. For example, a music site promoting a fictitious but famous group %26quot;The Rainmen%26quot; make make a few Adsense dollars if Google displayed ads for their CD%26#039;s, DVD%26#039;s and concert tours. However, Google might also put up ads for umbrellas and raincoats and you will end up making nothing. It%26#039;s a hard world out there to be sure.

Making site for Google Adsense?

Use Godaddy.com to buy your domain name but do not host it there.

I would recommend either one of the following hosting companies:

Hostgator, Bluehost or midPhase.

Why do Yahoo! Groups discourage a new, relevant open source offering?

I%26#039;m trying to promote a new open source offering- a soapmaking wiki that is like wikipedia- and I post to the group. My message is of the %26#039;please contribute your time and knowledge to the site%26#039; nature.

Now, the moderators take it as an ad and won%26#039;t post it. It IS an ad but it IS non-commercial and it serves only to help their group or business- the site provides a means of cross-promotion with a company and organization directory. Also, people are on those Yahoo groups TO list their services, in other words, commercialism and talk are inherently associated in this domain. Cottage businesses where ladies exchange and talk about recipes and where to buy cheap materials. That being said, it%26#039;s as if my offering is rejected on the basis that %26#039;I don%26#039;t know you%26#039;, or that I am a male. I%26#039;m facing the girls club and I%26#039;m just an outsider.

Am I totally off mark? I don%26#039;t think my invitation should be lumped in the same category with viagra and hot teen action.

http://saponaceo.us

Why do Yahoo! Groups discourage a new, relevant open source offering?

Ads are ad%26#039;s. Rules are rules. A company the size of yahoo has to apply the rule equally to all for the benefit of all. There is no discrimination.

Why do Yahoo! Groups discourage a new, relevant open source offering?

cause moderators are snobs. dont take it personally, most people suck. forget that group and do your own thing.

Other Replys:%26gt;The powers-that-be at Yahoo! have be assimilated by Billgatus of Borg.%26lt;

Other Replys:You are confusing Yahoo employees with volunteer moderators of a certain Group.

Yahoo does not concern itself with your posting - it is the moderators of that Group who make the decision. Are you sure your posting is on topic in the Group where your are trying to promote your wiki? have you checked to see if your comply with the Group%26#039;s rules? Some moderators view any kind of promotion, even of other relevant Yahoo Groups as taboo - don%26#039;t ask me why.

You have 2 options now:

- Move on to another, more tolerant Yahoo Group

- Try to contact the Group moderators privately to find out why your message is objectionable to them

Cheapest hosting?

I want to a host my new website (Already baught the domain name), currently I just need to upload one page. And probably not any soon I will add more. What is the cheapest/best choice for such a very simple basic website (webpage)

Cheapest hosting?

I am hosting my website at http://aplis.net/ . You can also give them a try. Or else try freehostia for free.

Cheapest hosting?

If it is just going to be one page, you should consider premium parking with the place you purchased the domain name.

godaddy is very cheap

Other Replys:If you currently are a web subscriber, your current provider offers a homepage into which you can FTP your current webpage(s) [which can be authored/designed using NotePad, MSN Word, FrontPage, DreamWeaver, etc.] and use the homepage hosting services. In a sense, you are hosting a commercial webpage via the homepage link and incurring merely the monthly access of, say, AOL.com, etc. Nevertheless, should you want to link your current domain name to the homepage URL, you%26#039;ll need to use a third-party redirection service, i.e., mydomain.com [which is free] or simply direct your domain name registry, i.e., godaddy.com to forward your domain name [with masking] to the link it to your homepage URL. It%26#039;s that simple.

Good luck!

Please tell me how do i reach those organizations who will provide web space for hosting my own web

previously i asked the following question that how do i get free web hosting and web space, and i got some answers mentioning that there is no such free hosting of your own web site. Of course there are some organizations that will provide free hosting and free web space but at the end of your domain name they will add their domain name i.e %26quot;www.mysite.theirsite.com%26#039;. so they told that in order to have a web sites of your own without their names at the end, one has to pay some money. so now what i am asking you people is %26quot;PLEASE TELL ME THOSE ORGANIZATIONS THAT WILL PROVIDE HOST NAMES AND WEB SPACE AND HOSTING FACILITIES FOR LOW COSTS ( i.e CHEAP RATES) so please inform me those who will charge low costs for hosting the web sites, and who will charge lesser money than any other organizations for registering the hostname to me. TELL ME SOME OF THOSE ORGANIZATIONS THAT WILL CHARGE LESSER MONEY.

i found 2, and went with one of them. i am very happy with my choice thus far.

You can build a website for only $299 per year ($1 per day)

Looks like you already have an idea of what type of website theme you want to use. The only thing left is how can you build a website that can rank high in the search engine.

If one of your clothing page have a keywords (e.g. latest design) and it did not rank in top 10 or worst 20, your page is virtually not existed. Remember, websurfer only browse thru the first or 2nd pages inside search engine listing.

So, you%26#039;ll need to do more to get into top 10 at google, yahoo and live. And to do that, you%26#039;ll need:

1. A host that can help you to write a proper web content.

2. How to choose a correct domain name (included in the yearly fees).

3. How to select the most profitable keyword (high in demand)

4. How to build incoming links.

5. No HTML knowledge, No Problem! You%26#039;ll be able to learn how to build a website using easy to use site building tools.

6. FREE ebooks on how to build a website that WORKS!

7. And many more...

I build my own website using this host and are very proud of the acheivement that I have right now. I have more than 20 pages listed in Top 10 at MSN and 10 at Google. I also starts to get some income from google ads and my affiliate.

And, I only started this website 5 month ago. If you like to see how my website looks like, visit

Website design startup help !!!!!?

Ok- i have designed a clothing line and it is growing very rapidly. I need to create a website ASAP and i have been looking around and talking to people I know. All I have been coming up with is sites like geocities or linkingcommunities.com that have boundaries and limits. It wont even let me create a domain name. I dont know if I need to make my own pages and save as an html document then host them with servers or what I need to do. I just want to create a website with pretty much no boundaries. I also need it to be able to link to paypal or something so people can purchase my shirts and put in a credit card. i do not want a cheap website with cheap hosting. i am willing to pay but need to know the right direction to go.. any help?

Website design startup help !!!!!?

Firstly, you don%26#039;t want to have a business website hosted by Geocities or some other community web site service. It%26#039;s going to be a big turn off for your customers. You need to have your own site with your own domain name. A really good host is Site5. They have a good deal going now where hosting is only $5 a month. The best price for registering domain names is iPowerWeb. Registering a domain name with them is only $6.50 a year (other companies charge up to $35 or more a year!).

If you don%26#039;t know how to build/maintain a website (including XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ideally some PHP), then you are definitely going to need to hire someone who does. It%26#039;s probably not a great idea to use your buddy who%26#039;s just learning HTML. For a good, sturdy e-commerce site, you need someone who really knows what they%26#039;re doing.

There are many shopping cart programs that you can get (ZenCart, CubeCart, etc...) that are compatible with PayPal and should be fairly simple for an experienced webmaster to integrate into your site.

Having a website can be costly, with domain registration, hosting costs, and paying someone to design and maintain it, but if you pull it off it will give your business a huge boost. Then you can start advertising with AdWords and Yahoo! advertising, and it will grow from there.

Good luck!

Other Replys:I believe that Yahoo! has some e-commerce options that enable you to build an online store. They also have domain registration services and hosting too.

Here%26#039;s the link for the e-commerce.

http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/ecommerce...

Also, there%26#039;s a website that you can use to make your own logo store type of thing. It%26#039;s called Cafe Press and I%26#039;ve listed the link below for you to check out if you%26#039;re interested.

http://CafePress.com

Good luck!

Other Replys:Well you probably should just get somebody to design a site for you if you haven%26#039;t really dabbled too much in website creation. I would recommend Dreamweaver for professional sites and thats pretty simple to use. To host the sight i would recommend GoDaddy.

Other Replys:Here are a couple of websites that can get you a cheap domain and an easy drag and drop webstie creation program.

yahoo small business, www.homestead.com , www.winwebhosting.com

the domain name is easy - you enter one in their search engine and they tell you if it is available. You buy it (shouldn%26#039;t be more than $8 a year. then you download the creatiion software and make your site. These have everything you need. Then you press a button that says %26quot;publish%26quot; and blammo! you got your site. They also allow you to submit the site to the search engines. Have fun

Other Replys:ReadyHosting is probably your best bet for Hosting and domain name registration which is included for free. Their basic package is $99 / year and includes a basic ShopingCart application. If you%26#039;re not familiar with web design I%26#039;d suggest you go and look for a designer. You can try VodaBids or CraigsList or some of the other online sites. I also dabble in design myself if you want to talk offline about it. See my e-mail below...

Best Web Hosting for Small Business and Multiple Domains?

Hello,

I know this has been asked before, but I%26#039;ve searched many web sites and reviews and I%26#039;m still confused. So, I%26#039;ve narrowed it down to Hostmonster, Bluehost, and Lunarpages. I%26#039;m a pretty technical guy, but I%26#039;m looking for a reliable web host for multiple domains that some will use databases. I%26#039;m not so concerned about a %26quot;simple%26quot; web site creator, as opposed to one that follows the HTML %26amp; CSS standards. I was going to go with 1%26amp;1 after seeing their huge ads in PC Magazine until I read the reviews. Thus, I%26#039;m not so concerned about cheap, just a service that is reliable, professional, and popular. In other words, what service would a developer recommend and use?

Thanks,

Brett

Best Web Hosting for Small Business and Multiple Domains?

I may not be as picky (mean that in a good way!) as you are because I definitely don%26#039;t consider myself a %26quot;professional%26quot; compared to friends who have web design businesses, but we%26#039;ve been really happy with Host Excellence. ( http://www.hostexcellence.com/templates/... )

There are a ton of paid web hosts out there, and my husband and I exhausted ourselves researching them before making a decision to go with HostExcellence for this site and another one we run. Ultimately, it came down to the fact that we were getting tired and we liked HostExcellence%26#039;s plans for mulitple domains and the fact that they had a site builder with tons of customizable templates (many of them do, but some of the good ones on the review lists don%26#039;t). My husband doesn%26#039;t use the site builder for his -- he does his own code. I use the site builder until I%26#039;m more proficient on Nvu. We also liked the amount of storage and bandwidth we were given, among other things. I haven%26#039;t had a complaint yet, and we%26#039;ve been customers since October 2005. They have excellent 24/7 live chat support that helps me all the time with just about any issue you can imagine. Whenever a service has been down (which has only been a few times), it%26#039;s either back up before I have a chance to ask about it or it%26#039;s resolved before I get off live chat with them. They have a ton of tools at your service, we have more e-mails available than we%26#039;ll ever use, and more bandwidth and storage space than we%26#039;ve come close to dipping into. They have ftp storage and a really easy thing called webshell that makes it pretty simple to do ftp stuff. Php boards, databases, etc. are all available. Good luck!

Best Web Hosting for Small Business and Multiple Domains?

Let me recommend 1and1.com and believe me you won%26#039;t regret. I%26#039;m a web designer and I%26#039;ve seen so many hosts that are really bad. 1and1 will give you a great package for $3.99 per month including 1 free domain name. They also give you up to 600 (!!!) email accounts and 10 databases in case you need them (included in the $3.99 per month).

Other Replys:You say that you are not concerned about cheap hosting but rather you are trying to get a reliable hosting service.

That閳ユ獨 a very good approach,

Most of the time I see guys asking questions regarding the best or the cheapest. Very few ask for reliability and I always wonder, what about reliability? What about success?

Now you can combine reliability and success and trust me, those two together will propel your web site to higher levels.

When I owned my own business, I used Yahoo here. About 3 years ago, they were charging maybe $9 a month.

If you go with them, they have a little download called Yahoo site builder. It%26#039;s not too bad.

.com or .biz?

What would be best for a small business, .com, .biz, or .net? Any differences with ads, prices, audience, success rate, etc? Any of them are cheap with yahoo, but I want to be as informed as possible before i make my domain. Thanks!

.com or .biz?

.com rules. just like in real-estate they tell you location location location, in domain names it%26#039;s .com ...it has always been as such and it will always as such be.

as a second choice i would look at .biz or.us before looking at .net

think of google. when people think of ggogle, they think of where to go to search. they don%26#039;t think of it as the search engine by the company named google. to them google is what will get you resultd you%26#039;re looking for. pop culture doesn%26#039;t say let%26#039;s %26quot;yahoo%26quot; this or %26quot;ask%26quot; that. they just google. that%26#039;s why google has now been introduced in the oxford english dictionary as a stand alone english word meaning engine search...the same goes for .com.... people automatically think of dot com first and not the others. dot net has an unplesant strange ring to it..like a wanna be that will never be.

if .com is prime real estate, .net is sub-prime real estate. good luck.

THERE%26#039;S .COM, AND THERE%26#039;S THE REST...

.com or .biz?

.com

BECAUSE;

You go global especially with a business! .biz is not that popular as far as I know anyway. MANY use .com!!!!

Other Replys:The difference between them is the dot %26quot;whatever%26quot;. Since there are so many types of things in this world the internet authority decided to make things a bit easier to weed through. For example, com stands for commercial. Biz stands for business and org stands for organization. Even though this would make things a bit easier to weed through, few people actually use the .biz over the .com because .com is more known.

Other Replys:Assume you see a URL advertised somewhere. The base of the URL is very catchy and easy to remember for when you get to your PC. But you can%26#039;t remember what the extension was. Was it .com, .biz, .net????????

Which will YOU try first??? My guess is .com. And if so you would be like most other people. The assumption is that a URL will end in .com simply because the most popular sites all use .com. Yahoo, Google, Microsoft even Blockbuster all use .com. People have been %26quot;programed%26quot; to assume the URL will end in .com.

Don%26#039;t expect that to change any time soon.

If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months%26#039; time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.

I would like to suggest following webhosting , they are excellent.

Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend...

They offer hosting of %26quot;unlimited domains%26quot; and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer %26quot;a free Domain Name%26quot; and installing service called %26quot;Fantastico%26quot;. By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer %26quot;Free Website Builder%26quot; as well.

How are you paying your ISP bill if you don%26#039;t have a credit card? (You clearly have internet access since you are posting a question on Yahoo Answers.)

To answer your question: You can%26#039;t get a domain name and upload your site to yahoo without a credit card.

I would not be interested in your offer to send me blackmarket US dollars in exchange for the use of my credit card .... that sounds highly illegal to me.

I want to start a website.. what's the best way?

I want to start a fun for me based website. I am experienced in HTML and web designing.. but I%26#039;ve never had a website before?

I just need help with a lot of this stuff. First off, I want a domain name. I have my domain name in my head and it seems to not be taken. Where is the cheapest and best place to buy/register a domain name?

Where do I put the HTML to design the website.. do I need a certain program or do I need to go on a certain website for this?

Which one is the best? Do I need to transfer a different website on to my domain name? If so, how?

Lay down the basics and any tips for me, please. :)

i%26#039;d register the domain name at godaddy

i have several websites i register most of my domain names at godaddy and then one at a web host like 1and1 and then forward the domains from godaddy to my 1and1 site

because its hard to transfer names away from them but there cheap.

i%26#039;ll give you an example

say i have example.com registered from godaddy i forward the domain to example.co.uk i desgin everything for the example.co.uk site but if i go to example.com it takes me right to example.co.uk

you need to have a domain hosting package to put the html somewhere the cheapest you can get them is like 4.99 per month or maybe cheaper depend on the company

alot of design softwares come with a ftp program that lets you upload the site to the hosting companies server%26#039;s but if they dont you need to buy a ftp program they cost about 30 dollars or you can sometimes find a less featured version for free

you will upload everything that needs to be on the site through the ftp program and it will appear on the site.

How do I start my own website?

how to I put my domain up? I know u have to get a server but which one is the best and (cheap or free)

How do I start my own website?

First of all email me I will help you with the process, you can buy a domain from like godaddy.com and they also offer cheap hosting, if you don%26#039;t like the godaddy.com hosting i can find you free or really cheap for like $1 a month well email me or pm me what ever .. Godaddy.com sells .info for $.99 and .com are on sale for $1.99 a year.. i will help you if you need it

How do I start my own website?

you don%26#039;t need a server, thats for a large company/corporation, you just need a host... which of course you need to pay for... if you would like free, may I suggest googlepagecreator.com or piczo.com, I have had success with both of these and they are completly free, if you would like to check mine out, please, if you can, send me an e-mail...

Other Replys:First, you need to purchase your domain name. Then you can set up your site. There are companies that will host your site for you for a mininal fee. The only thing you need to do is code your site and then upload it to the server they specify. I can%26#039;t remember the one we use but you can probably do a quick search for web hosting.

Other Replys:Web hosting is fairly simple. You choose a service provider (they host your website) and you choose your domain name. A good web host will register your domain for you. Domain registration averages about $8. I recommend stayhosted.com it isn%26#039;t free but it is very good and has more features than most hosts and will register the domain name for you. They will give you a log in for getting your online content management system and, usually, and ftp (file transfer protocol) login. With an ftp account you will have the ability to drag and drop files from your desktop to the directory where the sites are stored.

Other Replys:Go to http://domainlagoon.com for a free domain.

Go to http://110mb.com/aff.php?un=cms07 for free site hosting.

Need help? PM via the 110mb Forum to CMS07

Other Replys:Begin with setting up your own webpage as your current internet provider will provide free hosting as discussed below.

Good luck!

Recommend to me some good web hosting companies?

I have a small personal webpage and I%26#039;m unhappy with my current web hosting company (Brinkster).

Something free or very cheap would be best.

I%26#039;d prefer something that doesn%26#039;t force ads on my pages.

Having my own domain name is *not* important.

Support for languages such as PHP would be nice, but not necessary. Same goes for allowing me to host media files such as MP3s.

Recommend to me some good web hosting companies?

If you don%26#039;t mind file size limitations, there is:

atspace.com %26amp; 50webs.com that offer free ad-free web hosting

Neither support PHP at this time and media files could be stored off-site and hotlinked in.

Photobucket recently started hosting both images and videos and allows hotlinking.

As for mp3s...you might try Ripway.com but I%26#039;m not sure how good they are about their hosting.

Recommend to me some good web hosting companies?

I find alot of imformation on goggle.com

Other Replys:try bravenet its good and cheap.. i think...

they provide..free ad less website..but just HTML...

1sst develop free website..its very gud..and they provide online web development tools..everything about bravenet is good...

Try It..

all the best...

Other Replys:The problem with Free hosting company is that you do not have control over your website, and you can find that your webpage is not available for several hours to several days.

In general, those free web hosting accounts are not reliable.

A good cheap web hosting:

* http://www.teknonmedia.com $4,95/month

* http://www.50megs.com $1,99/month

* http://www.doteasy.com/ ($25/year Free web hosting+ domain name)

* http://members.freewebs.com (it%26#039;s freebut with ads)

http://www.Hostgator.com is an excellent solution, but a little bit expensive. Thousands of businessman online are using this service, ultra reliable.

You can also start a free blog at http://www.blogger.com , it will take you less than 5 minutes to get started.

I think that a good option would be http://www.50megs.com $1,99/month.

Other Replys:I run a web services site that might fit your needs.

Please visit http://www.mxdwebservice.com

and review our plans.

We offer plans starting at 5GB of web space and 100GB of traffic and 1 free domain name for $69.24/year...that is less than $6/month. Currently, our largest plan consists of 25GB of web space with 400GB of traffic. Every plan includes one free domain name, which I realize you say is of little importance to you but worth mentioning just the same. We do support PHP and you can host as many MP3%26#039;s as you can fit in your account. :)

All plans come with a large complement of free scripts and tools, designed to help you build and maintain a professional-looking web site; including tools like Joomla! %26amp; PHPNuke (content management systems), osCommerce (a shopping cart/billing system) and more than 20 other similar free tools!

Like any good web host we offer our clients 24/7 customer support, including a trouble ticket system, live chat and phone/email support.

In addition, we also offer a complete library of video tutorials to help guide you visually through a large variety of possible questions about running and maintaining your web space. Nothings better than seeing how it%26#039;s done step by step!

Thats not all! You will also find a growing library of articles designed to help guide and inform you, should you decide to run a web business.

I would suggest that you visit our site as there is a wealth of free information available and more details about the hosting plans we offer.

I try very hard to provide as much as possible for each client and I will work as hard for you.

Thank you for your time and I hope to have helped you in some way. :)

Other Replys:Hello,

You can try http://www.dreamhost.com hosting solution (if you%26#039;re also looking hosting with a free domain in the packages) , a respectable company and has a good support, uptime with over 700 servers. They give you 20GB Space and 1 Terrabyte of Bandwidth, and a free domain for a good price ($119/year), and with the promo code HOT75 you get $75 off to any yearly and monthly plans you purchase. They have everything you need.

Which means, with that promo code, you get $119 - $75 = $44/year

and $44 / 12 months is only $3.67 a month for that great deal!

Other Replys:I currently have hosting with DreamHost.com, many top websites use them such as duggmirror.com and lissaexplains.com (these sites use massive amounts of bandwidth)

The offer includes 1 TB bandwidth/20gb webspace. I have a promo code I can give out to discount $50.00 off hosting (normally $129.00 but now $69.00 with my promo code). Check it out if you%26#039;re interested:

Build the wall first and then fine the employers?

Comprehensive immigration reform is in jeopardy because it is a complex compromise with too many moving parts and too many competing interests. Employers want a guest-worker program; unions want to kill it. Reformers want to introduce a point system that preferentially admits skilled and educated immigrants; immigrant groups naturally want to keep the existing family-preference system. Liberals want legalization now; conservatives insist on enforcement 鈥渢riggers鈥?first.

There is only one provision that has unanimous support: stronger border enforcement. I鈥檝e seen senators stand up and object to the point system, to chain migration, to guest workers, to every and any idea in this bill 鈥?except one. I have yet to hear a senator stand up and say she is against better border enforcement.

Why not start by passing what everyone says they want? After all, proponents of this comprehensive reform insist that the current situation is intolerable and must be resolved. It follows, therefore, that however much they differ in the details of how the current mess should be resolved, they are united in the belief that such a mess should not be allowed to happen again. And the only way to make sure of that is border control.

So why not pass it, with the understanding that the other contentious provisions would be taken up subsequently? Because for all the protestations, many of those who say they are deeply devoted to enforcement are being deeply disingenuous. They profess to care about immigration control because they have to. But they care so little about the issue that they are willing to make it hostage to the other controversial provisions, most notably legalization.

Why am I so suspicious about the fealty of the reformers to real border control? In part because of the ridiculous debate over the building of a fence. Despite the success of the border barrier in the San Diego area, it appears to be very important that this success not be repeated. The current Senate bill provides for the fencing of no more than one-fifth of the border and the placing of vehicle barriers in no more than one-ninth.

Instead, we are promised all kinds of fancy, high-tech substitutes 鈥?sensors, cameras, unmanned aerial vehicles 鈥?and lots more armed chaps on the ground to go chasing those who get through.

Why? A barrier is a very simple thing to do. The technology is well tested. The Chinese had success with it, as did Hadrian. In our time, the barrier Israel has built has been so effective in keeping out intruders that suicide attacks are down over 90 percent.

Fences work. That鈥檚 why people have them around their houses 鈥?not because homeowners are unwelcoming, but because they insist that those who wish to come into their domain knock at the front door.

Fences are simple. They don鈥檛 require much upkeep. Two fences with a patrol road between them across the length of the U.S.-Mexico border would be relatively cheap, easy to build and simple to maintain.

Why this preference for the fancy high-tech surveillance stuff that presents no physical impediment to illegal entry but instead triggers detection 鈥?followed by alarm, pursuit, arrest and possible violence? It makes for great TV. But why is that good for the country?

It is certainly good for the Border Patrol, ensuring a full employment program till the end of time. But why for the rest of us? Fences have no retirement benefits.

The final argument against fences is, of course, the symbolism. We don鈥檛 want a fence that announces to the world that America is closed. But this is entirely irrational. The fact is that under our law, America is indeed closed 鈥?to all but those who, after elaborate procedures, are deemed worthy of joining the American family. Those objecting to the fence should be objecting to the law that closes America off, not to the means for effectively carrying out that law.

A fence announces to the world that America is closed to ... illegal immigrants. What鈥檚 wrong with that? Is not every country in the world the same? The only reason others don鈥檛 need such a barrier is because they are not half as attractive as America, not because we are more oppressive or less welcoming.

Fences are ugly, I grant you that. But not as ugly as 12 million people living in the shadows in a country that has forfeited control of its borders.

Comprehensive immigration reform has simply too many contentious provisions to command a majority of Congress or the country. We all agree on enforcement, don鈥檛 we? So let鈥檚 do it. Make it simple. And do it now. Once our borders come visibly under control, everything else will become doable. Including amnesty.

Build the wall first and then fine the employers?

God, that took so long to read. Yeah it seems plausable.

Build the wall first and then fine the employers?

The %26quot;Wall%26quot; is an absurd waste of money. The wall will not work without manpower on the border. If you have manpower on the border, you don%26#039;t need the %26quot;Wall%26quot;.

Other Replys:Fine the employers and use the proceeds to finance the wall.

That%26#039;s justice.

We already have laws. We don%26#039;t need another one.

No amnesty! If you keep feeding strays, they keep hanging around.

Apartments in Melbourne?

I will be moving to Melbourne, Australia, and need to find a cheap, but safe apartment. I will be there for 6 months, hence wanting something quick and convenient (one bedroom/studio) Looking to pay anywhere from 200 - 300 / week.

I have looked up rent.com.au and domain.com.au..

Does anyone know of other websites? Thank you.

Apartments in Melbourne?

you can go to www.realestate.com.au, go on %26quot;rentals%26quot; and give in name of suburb or just the postcode.

Apartments in Melbourne?

for that period of time, you might be best to find a serviced apartment, or share house. I think you may find it very difficult to get a lease for only 6 months due to the shortage of rental properties in Melbourne.

Try www.gumtree.com.au or www.realestate.com.au for share house and www.qualityinn.com.au for serviced apartments

Other Replys:I would check out those websites that were mentioned too, but don%26#039;t limit yourself to the cbd. If you can find a place that is near a train station, then you never 20 minutes away from anywhere. I recomend the share house too, at least that way you could get some local knowledge.

There are some suburbs that are best avoided, but by and large, Melbourne is a pretty safe place. I%26#039;ve lived in the so called less disirable places, but I never felt threatend.

you submit your profile and it matches you to people you are compatible with and you choose the place to live in.

Help Me Build A Simple Website.?

Hello all,

I am looking to build myself a fairly simple website. I have never made one so you will have to explain to me from scratch.

I am just looking to write a daily blog and upload a few pictures.. So again nothing fancy..

So what is the best software for me to use to build this website(no HTML) and where is the best place to buy a domain name??

I have no clue how that works.. When I buy it how do I attach the site etc?? And how easy is it to update the site.. even .info or .tv would be fine.. Just something cheap..

Well sorry for asking so much.. If you could please help me I would appreciate it very much..

Many tx..

Daniel..

Ipower.com to buy the domain name

hostingzoom.com to host your website

change %26quot;nameserver%26quot; on your domain name to the info given you by hostingzoom. (It%26#039;s not hard and Ipower has instructions on how to do this.)

Install Wordpress from your CPanel account once the domain is set up.

Start blogging...

Other Replys:Well, i%26#039;m not sure if this helps, but, its all i can think of:

If you search %26quot;Domain Names%26quot; on google you should get a few sites where you can buy a domain name. And.. Freewebs i heard is a good site were people can create there own sites, and thats free. And, wordpress is an awesome blog place..

Other Replys:try hostmonster.

i heard many good things from people who use it.

Other Replys:free website building %26amp; hosting: geocities.com, bravenet.com

they have templates, content you can add etc...very easy!

Other Replys:First choose a good hosting company - this is probably the most important first step. There are lots of articles on the Internet for choosing a good web hosting service but I found this one to be the best: http://www.itembidder.com/viewtopic.php?...

Then choose a decent domain name...make it relevant to your blog content.

Then install some blogging software on your server....possibly WordPress although there are lots of different ones.

Attaching the site is easy...when you purchase your hosting service you%26#039;ll be given nameserver/s. You then go to the Settings in your domain companys website and point them to the nameservers...and thats it!

Other Replys:For free try blogger.com or else you can find a step by step guide on how to create a website at websites like http://oktutorial.com/webdesign.htm

Other Replys:I閳ユ獡 using a great online company called Sitesell. This is the very first time I have ever built a website, so I needed a company who could take me by the hand, step by step!

I have nothing but praise for them! They make EVERYTHING so easy! They supply all of the online training, simple (yet incredibly sophisticated tools) and excellent support.

There is small annual hosting fee to pay but that includes all of the above plus your domain registration. They even supply the templates for designing your site! And don%26#039;t worry about html coding or other techy stuff as that%26#039;s all taken care of for you!

My site is only 18 months old. but It閳ユ獨 already very highly ranked by the major search engines and is attracting more than 30,000 visitors a month閳?.and rising! Plus it generates a substantial income which not only well exceeds the costs, but actually shows a very healthy profit!

Web hosting question?

I%26#039;m opening a web designing company. Say I have some clients who need websites. Now I don%26#039;t own a server of my own, I just know how to make websites. So I use a hosting site as my server, for example www.uk2.net provide cheap hosting. So now, for each client I get, I buy 50gb hosting space on uk2.net and assign them a domain. But I will be advertising in my website packages that each package include 50gb of hosting space. Is this legal? Since the hosting space is actually coming from a different company?

Web hosting question?

If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don%26#039;t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.

Web hosting question?

This is called over selling. It is practice in almost every web hosting company. The problem is whether uk2.net give you the feature to oversell. If uk2.net does not, then you cannot oversell.

Other Replys:Ok well, You can find more information at http://www.urlstate.com/

Other Replys:Well I know that my hosting where I have my domain at allows you to have different domains on it. And my hosting service is very legal. The name of my hosting provider is http://www.hostrocket.com. I have been with them since 2000. I have 3 domains with them.

Hope that helped out some. Next best thing to do is ask the place you are buying space from. I am sure they do not want to do anything illegal.

Good luck..

Other Replys:It%26#039;s legal. It%26#039;s called reselling.

What is the point of Yahoo Answers? Really?

I mean, it%26#039;s advertised as %26quot;asking people who know%26quot;, or some such nonsense - whereas as anyone who%26#039;s spent more than, oooh, ten seconds using it will know, it%26#039;s the domain of slackers, potheads, timewasters and the functionally illiterate.

Why use this %26quot;service%26quot; when there are many more useful ways of getting equally good information:

- the %26quot;did you know?%26quot; quote on the back of a matchbox

- something scrawled in Magic Marker on a toilet cubicle wall

- that drunk guy who%26#039;s always at the train station, sipping cheap wine and yelling

Would it not be better if Yahoo advertised it as %26quot;Yahoo Answers - Ask Someone Who Wants To Bump Their Points%26quot;, or maybe %26quot;Yahoo Answers - OMG LOLLLLLZZZZZZ!!!!!!111%26quot;. Or even %26quot;Yahoo Answers - Don%26#039;t Expect A Useful Answer%26quot;?

What is the point of Yahoo Answers? Really?

May I quote a tiny part of your question %26quot;it%26#039;s the domain of slackers, potheads, timewasters and the functionally illiterate.%26quot; I just wondered as to which of the above referred to yourself? as unfortunately I do not fit into any of these categories.

What is the point of Yahoo Answers? Really?

If you dont like it, leave. plain and simple, its purpose for me, is entertainment and enjoyment, points are fun, but not nessasary.

for a person who seems to have thier nose in the sky, i think reading the potty walls is a much better past time for you, i hope the writing is up high, so you can read it better

Other Replys:There is no point.

Other Replys:ur absalutly right BUT. i try to be thorough and take my questions seriously, not to mention i have recieved serious answers...dont ask dumb questions and hope you get the decent people!

Other Replys:Seriously!

And what%26#039;s the purpose of the whole point system?

You reached Level 5. So what???

Other Replys:Yeah, I guess that is why YOU have been around all this time.

Other Replys:Well off you toddle then.

I have had some very useful answers on here and filter out the silly ones.

Other Replys:Yes, but were still all here lol

Other Replys:This is just a lighthearted way of furthering the feeling of being unloved and unwanted that you already have.

Other Replys:Yeh but you%26#039;re forgetting the enjoyment we all get from thick Yanks with no sense of humour.

Other Replys:We all get dumb answers to our questions sometimes, but I%26#039;ve never posted a question that I didn%26#039;t get a useful answer out of. For the questions that are dumb, that%26#039;s what the ratings are for, even though it doesn%26#039;t stop them.

The only problem I have with Yahoo! Answers is that it is so easy for people to report an answer for the sole reason that they felt %26quot;offended by it.%26quot; I%26#039;ve had two of my answers deleted because I basically disagreed with someone and since they didn%26#039;t like it, they reported it. Yeah, sure, Answers gives you the chance to %26quot;rebut%26quot; it, but that is worthless. I would enoy Answers a lot more if people weren%26#039;t so pathetic about their feelings being %26quot;hurt.%26quot;

I also think it%26#039;s kind of dumb that you loose points for asking a question. I mean if it weren%26#039;t for people asking them, there would be no Answers service.

Other Replys:When someone points a finger old son, Look at where the other three are pointing

Other Replys:its a bit of fun..........get a life and if you dont like yahoo....fu88off and leave it to us people with a bit of fun....

Other Replys:%26#039;OMG LOLLLLLZZZZZZ!!!!!!111%26#039; haha i agree with you but i guess its a time waster and points.... save lives....?

Other Replys:Agree totally with what you said. It is one big Chat Room with answers such as %26quot;Yes %26amp; %26quot;No%26quot; which helps alot and they get their 2 points for it. Good question

Other Replys:For me it%26#039;s fun, and sometimes I think I help people. There are some people with legitimate questions...as well as some who give legitimate answers.

Since I try to research anything that does not rely on my own personal opinion or experience I also learn things that I might not have thought to investigate on my own.

That said I see the side you are talking about too.

I suppose when there are so many people in one area all being asked to give input...in fact rewarded for it. There are going to be misuses and abuses as well as just plain stupid and crazy people.

I did not answer this just for points.

By the way there are other %26quot;answers%26quot; sites...not sure if they are much better but Wikipedia has one and maybe Google too..perhaps one of those might be more to your liking.

Other Replys:I don%26#039;t think was intended to be an informational resource. I think it%26#039;s %26quot;point%26quot; is entertainment and fun....something to do! And if someone answers a straight question with an informative answer once in awhile, then great, you%26#039;ve learned something!

Lighten up and just enjoy it, dude! If you don%26#039;t like it, go google. Or go ask Jeeves. Oh wait...Jeeves got the boot...go to %26quot;ask.com%26quot;

Other Replys:Some people like to have the opinions or advice of others who are not friends or family members, so that they get one which is not biased. Even if some questions are dodgy, others are genuine and there are even some people who do need help and if I can offer my opinion, then why not?

I am free to answer with sarcasm, wit or sympathy.

By the way, you have just used that service; what does that make you? (= sarcasm)

And thanks to you I am getting points!

Other Replys:I like it, it%26#039;s nice to be able to ask a question and get an immediate response. Even though some might not be correct, at least it points you in the right direction

Other Replys:It is a tool for yahoo themselves...What yahoo needs up up their stock prices is...MEMBERS! What better way than to get people addicted to such a site. All the people who participate do it for free for hours and hours a day. The more members yahoo has the higher the stock prices go and the richer the stock holders get. We, by staying on this site are making them richer and making us poor because we could be out making money ourselves but we are not. We are wasting away in front of the computer.

Other Replys:I thought it was a bit of fun with a bit of learning/help. I didn%26#039;t realize that I was one of the %26#039;slackers, potheads, timewasters and the functionally illiterate! Why are you on it?

Other Replys:I%26#039;ve found that the degree of answers you get also depends on the category you choose. Some times I do get helpful answers; sometimes I get crazy or sarcastic ones.

It%26#039;s just like the real world. Some people are idiots, some are jerks, most are nice. The bad ones just stick out more.

Other Replys:Nothing just for fun

Other Replys:I will tell you what Yahoo Answers is really

the point of yahoo!answers is.. uh to ask questions..get answers... GET POINTS along with statistics how many stars/questions/answers.

this is a silly human need to validate themselves.

welcome to the internet, you got it all. quit complaining and go with the flow.

Other Replys:YA DUDE

Other Replys:as a member of %26quot;Yahoo Answers - Ask Someone Who Wants To Bump Their Points%26quot; I agree wholeheartedly with everything you have said

Other Replys:it is a bunch of BS. half the time you get crappy answers, people just posting nonsense to get points for bragging rights. if your looking for opinions, i guess its ok. steer clear of what people say is fact.

Other Replys:i agree with you and thanks for the points

Other Replys:Amen to that!

Web Hosting - What do I need?

I bought a domain name and am almost ready to put up my own web site. I need someplace to host that will:

1. Be super, super cheap.

2. Allow me to use Google Adsense (I doubt I%26#039;ll make any real money, but why not try?)

3. I need only about 10 megs of space forthe whole site.

4. No idea how much bandwidth I need. (What do you recommend.... I%26#039;d like to dream think my site will get busy, but I%26#039;m sure it%26#039;ll be slow at first.)

5. Easy to upload my pages with ftp program on my mac.

6. Tech support (phone) is a major plus.

Any recommendations? I don%26#039;t have a lot of money and don%26#039;t want to be ripped off. Thank you.

I do check back for answers. Thanks in advance to any and all people who reply.

Domains Priced Right is the only place I go now for all my web-based services. After months of research, and several costly mistakes, they were a godsend. I have multiple domains and hosted sites through them.

They will host you for a s little as $3.99 a month, with a $1.99 domain transfer fee. This plan gives you 5GB space and a bandwidth of 250GB. Many of my sites have huge image files (which can eat up your bandwidth allotment in a hurry), but I have NEVER experienced downtime as a result. As a matter of fact, their company-wide guarantee is 99.9% uptime.

You will also get 500 email accounts with 50 forwards, 10 Databases, and forum/blog/photogallery capabilities.

Their FTP interface is very easy to use, basically drag-and-drop.

And their tech support is top notch. If they can%26#039;t solve the problem while you are on the phone with them, they will call you back AND email you when it is solved.

They may be a dollar or so more per month, but for the money, I have yet to find a better value.

Best of luck with your search AND your site.

Need to find a new place for my webpage?

I think that it%26#039;s time I moved on from the measly meagerness of Yahoo Geocities. Does anybody know of a site that will let me have a free domain, use my own web editor, and (more importantly) give me unlimited or nearly unlimited space for my page? I%26#039;m sick of using Geocities, and while I%26#039;ve only used up .1 megabytes of my alloted filesize, I also can%26#039;t upload my own pictures for some reason. I don%26#039;t want THAT problem resolved though. I%26#039;m tired of PageBuilder as a mediocre editor and I can%26#039;t seem to find any good FREE webhosting services. If I have to pay money for it, make it a cheap one...

Host it yourself.

You%26#039;ll need the webserver software:

http://httpd.apache.org

Apache is the most widely used webserver software on the internet.

Apache is free.

You can purchase a webaddress at several places. I%26#039;ve seen alot of folks mention godaddy.com. I%26#039;ve used:

http://www.dyndns.org

for years. You can get one that they assign for free, or you can pay for one and get the one you want.

Have fun!

Do you know where I can get a website for free?

I know of a few websites where you can get an account for free. But I need a free domain name and I know that might not be possible...but does ANYONE know of one? If you do please answer the question or tell me a place to get a website for a cheap price...because I don%26#039;t have that much money to spend.

Please and Thankx!

Do you know where I can get a website for free?

uve asked the right question for me, there are 2 ways, one is fake, one is real, first is fake, goto www.dot.tk, create an account, then apply 4 a domain name, u can have unlimited domain names for ur account, after that, first of all, u need to have a webhosting service such as bravenet or freewebs, enter the URL to ur website in the registration, and u will have a redirect URL like this, here are sum website i have made, using dot.tk domains, and bravenets web hosting: www.soblan.tk, www.fajiradesign.tk, using freewebs: www.bannerschoolclassof07.tk. the more reliable way is to use microsoft office live, there are 3 packages, one is free, u get a free domain name with that, but u need a credit card to use, they%26#039;ll ask u 4 ur credit card number, and charge it $1 just to make sure ur above 18 yrs, with the free package, u get 5 emails at ur domain name, it syncs with hotmail, and u cant use HTML, u%26#039;ll learn more about the service on their website

Other Replys:Probably Piczo,Free webs,or if you don%26#039;t like none if it-girl search on the Google!!!

Other Replys:godaddy.com is cheap

Other Replys:I agree with another forum member about buying your domain name(s) from www.godaddy.com, since their prices are very reasonable. As for setting up the actual website, the following scenario may be useful to you.

If you are currently a paid Internet subscriber, you are entitled to a %26quot;homepage%26quot; which often contains simple navigation and editing tools. And if you use the Netscape browser, the built-in Composer feature is a superior HTML authoring tool.

Here%26#039;s a demonstration: Type in the URL window: %26quot;www.pizzanextdoor.com%26quot; which will bring up their pizza website. Take note of the domain name. Then type in the URL window: %26quot;http://home.pacbell.net/vten/1a/pizzame... and you will see that this is the original homepage which is unmasked without the domain name.

Good luck!
