Trying to design web pages and learning how to name them.
Does anyone know the difference in naming your web pages with a .htm or a.html? does it matter?
doesnt matter, use either one

I am only fairly new at html, but my books tell me that you only have to put .htm after the name and that they will both be saved the same way.
Do you know where I can find a cheap (or even free) site that takes html rather than super-easy software?
Other Replys:html means Hyper text markup language. The difference is negligible.
If u are learning web designing I suggest u use dreamweaver and php
Other Replys:They%26#039;re the same thing. .html is the official extension, but early versions of microsoft website tools couldn%26#039;t handle four letters after the %26quot;.%26quot;, so they shortened it to .htm .
Other Replys:Doesn%26#039;t matter
Other Replys:do not use both. stick with one or the other or you%26#039;ll get confused. if you name a file %26quot;this.htm%26quot; and you put a link to in on another page like below you will have a problem.
%26lt;a href=%26quot;this.html%26quot;%26gt;this%26lt;/a%26gt;
