For starting a web page, what is the smartest, simplest and inexpensive way?

I am starting a business, I am somewhat computer literate and want to start a web page, I would like to design it myself and dont want this to be expensive or complicated, any suggestions?

For starting a web page, what is the smartest, simplest and inexpensive way?

well... I%26#039;d say you could start by going to freewebs.com and make a website there... it%26#039;s free and they have some basic layouts for you... the only downside is that your website comes with advertisements on it... If you want your own server Yahoo I believe has it wher eyou can register a domain for $9.99 I think for a year... but then you%26#039;d have to buy a server and/or run the website off your computer.

If you want it professional looking and don%26#039;t like freewebs.com and want to design it yourself... that%26#039;s where it get%26#039;s expensive and I%26#039;d suggest using Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver...

Photoshop for graphics and Dreamweaver will help you with setting up the pages to where they look nice..

Other then buying those two programs... Freewebs.com is the only place right now to help you get started at least with a basic website...

I%26#039;m a graphic designer myself and have helped design websites... you can email me and I%26#039;ll help you design your website and all... You%26#039;d just once again have to pay for a domain then a host if you%26#039;re not planning on hosting it off your computer.

http://www.getyourwebsite.biz has everything you%26#039;ll need

Other Replys:Since you%26#039;re in business, why not get one that will pay you?

Other Replys:try http://www.orgfree.com or Geocities from yahoo.

Other Replys:Use Microsoft Word.

Design your page and click on Save As.

In the Save As Type find Web page.

Click save.

You have just created a web page and it is your design.

Other Replys:Probably MS Frontpage, that will be free and less complicated, for you not to undrestand the basis and HTML and CSS.

All you%26#039;re gonna need to pay is the domain.
