Web Design Online Course?

I am currently looking into becoming a successful Web Designer, and am wondering, is this a good course to take?

http://www.pennfoster.edu/webpagedesign-...

I know basic Web Design stuff, I%26#039;ve created several pages, and am currently hosting a few sites.

I just want to know if that course will teach me everything I%26#039;ll need to know and become a good designer.

What else should I learn?

Thanks.

Go for e-learning if it helps you, but don%26#039;t think for a second that their certificate is worth the paper it%26#039;s printed on. I%26#039;ve never heard of this place, or the %26#039;advanced web page design%26#039; certificate.

A much cheaper and equally effective route would be... *drumroll*

books.

Get your hands on Head First Java, Head First XHTML, and Head First JavaScript. After you%26#039;ve learned that stuff, you will have a pretty good basic understanding of web development. Move on to Head First Java and Head First SQL. (If you decide that you really hate the Head First Series, try the Deitel How to Program books.)

After you%26#039;ve learned a bit from those, you%26#039;ll have enough background to go to http://www.w3schools.com and learn some other things to make your resume extra shiny.
