Web page is going blank before loading - how can I prevent it?

I am designing a web site that pulls from 3 different includes, two of which contain Javascripts (embedded, not linked.) The result is that whenever I click on a link within the site, the page goes blank BEFORE loading the page. This looks terrible, what can I do with the javascript to prevent this from happening?

There really isn%26#039;t anything that I know of that u can do in java, but try not having the scripts embedded. It sounds like the computer can%26#039;t handle so much info.
