I%26#039;d like to create an online gallery for my artwork and other projects, but I have little to no experience creating websites, and I%26#039;d rather not take a class if I don%26#039;t have to. Can you recommend any books or programs that will teach me how to create a professional-looking website in a beginner-friendly way?
What is the best book or program for learning how to design and create web pages?
If its a free site, like bravenet or geocities site, they usually have a user friendly way to set up your site. I%26#039;ve used a program called dreamweaver, which is a nice program to use because it already writes the codes for you, behind the scene, so you can focus more on the appearance in a visual way, which most people need.

I learned how by using one of the free website builders offered by the http://www.excelyourbiz.com site, it was easy to use and I have a great professional looking site!
Other Replys:website what you need is build with the combination of dreamweaver and Photoshop wherein you will edit your artwork images in photoshop and do your site layout in dreamweaver, but for a first timer it will not be that easy, so i suggest you to take some professionals help or go to help section of these programmes to know how to use these programmes.
you can also reffer to the sites like www.w3schools.com, www.make-a-web-site.com,
Other Replys:Hi Silver,
I joined a very famous internet marketing company recently and paid big bucks for the knowledge that you are looking for.
As part of the overall membership they offer their members a full course of 256 videos that guide you through setting up websites but you need a username and password to %26quot;unlock%26quot; the page.
If you want you can use mine. I know that desperate feeling when you want to set up a website but just don%26#039;t know how.
Just go to www.protry.com
username = members
mypassword= candy
It%26#039;s literally the best package I have ever seen offered on the interent for helping people build websites and the videos are so easy to follow that you%26#039;ll be up and running in no time.
Hope this helps,
Goodluck,
Colin
